The writer's reminiscences from 1906 about senior staff and others; employment conditions - holidays, sports activities, savings scheme, benevolent fund, etc; women labour; trade unions; etc. The author joined the firm in 1905 as an apprentice, became 'Final Inspector' in 1926 and assistant to Personnel Manager, 1945.
