Reprinted 1975. Deals with the provision of fixed capital for armaments production but also concerned with construction of new plant and adaption of existing plant owned and operated by the private sector. Introduction provides historical perspective re development of armaments industry before 1914 and the experience of 1914-18 and interwar years. Some relevant topics dealt with in other volumes in the series - eg Administration of War Production, Administration of Works and Buildings, etc. Organised in two parts, viz: A] deals with industrial resources used to meet the requirements of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal air Force; B] deals with a key limiting factor which was the supply of machine tools and especially issues re demand and provisions made for their supply and allocation.
