Established 1910 as a subsidiary of GEC Ltd to acquire its telephone making operations at Peel Works, Salford, where M S Conner, an important developer of telephone technology, worked. Also made telegraphic equipment. Company wound up in 1921 and production relocated to Coventry although the Peel Conner brand name continued in use for several years. From 1960s GEC's telecommunications equipment manufacture and services placed in GEC (Telecommunications) Ltd
