Established 1893 by Arthur H Preece who was joined in 1899 by his father, Sir William Peece, 1834-1913, (qv,) on his retirement from the Post Office where he had latterly been engineer in chief, and Philip Cardew, formerly electrical adviser to the Board of Trade. Joined in 1915 by John Hall Rider. 1983 merged with Ewbank & Partners Ltd to form Ewbank Preece Ltd. Specialised in telegraphic and electrical engineering projects.
