Late 1930s relocated to Acton, then to Watford and in 1947 to Sandwich. Diversified into, inter alia, mobile diesel generating sets, mobile workshops, mobile surgeries and other mobile/portable equipment manufacture, especially through 1961 acquisition of Vernons Industries Ltd of Liverpool. 1960s introduced silenced generators, especially for film industry. 1972 reorganised as Petbow Holdings Ltd and floated as a public company. 1994 acquired by Cummins Inc of USA
