This firm was close to A F Haldimand which had been formed in c1769 by Anthony Francis Haldimand, d1817, and around 1800 was known as A F Haldimand & Sons. The two firms came to share partners. In 1828 Morris, Prevost & Co, as it was then known, acquired the Haldimand business. Developed as an important house with its partners - eg Alexandre L Prevost - playing leading roles in the City. Built close connections with Switzerland. Towards end of its life developed as a private banking business providing security services to Swiss clients. 1914 acquired by Baring Brothers & Co Ltd [2023]
