Soon after designed and made own cigarette making machinery, especially for packaging. 1912 incorporated as Molins Machine Co Ltd supported by United Cigarette Machine Co Ltd. 1919 moved from central London to Deptford. By 1920s a major machinery manufacturer. 1927 major interests in business acquired by Imperial Tobacco Co Ltd and British American Tobacco Co Ltd. As part of this Molins acquired their machine making business, Brecknell, Munroe & Rogers. 1976 floated as a public company. From 1970s diversified into packaging machinery manufacture. Continues as Molins Plc
