Notes:

Traced origins to 1837 at St Peter's Works. Early on specialised in agricultural machinery and portable steam engines until c1908. Developed as important manufacturers of grain roller milling machinery and of rollers for other industries. Also oil engines. 1919 merged into Agricultural & General Engineers Ltd when another part of this Group, Bull Motors, relocated to its works. Bull Motors, established in 1898 at Stowmarket, were important manufacturers of electric motors for trolleys buses, lifts, cranes, heating and ventilating machinery, etc. Independent entity again on demise of AGE Ltd in 1932 when Bull Motors became an integral part. Continues as a subsidiary of Christie & Turner
