The merger was of Norrie & Wilson, which promoted it, James Imray & Son Ltd and R H Laurie. Norrie traced its origins 1793 when established by William Heather. Latterly it also had other interests such as marine book publishing, trade in nautical instruments and yacht fittings/furnishings, and a retail shop.
