Traced origins to 1855 when Clement Heaton and James Butler joined together to design and make stained glass. Joined in 1862 by Robert Bayne when known as Heaton Butler & Bayne. Emerged as the leading stained glass manufacturers of the late 19th century, specialising in gothic revival stained glass for churches. Located in Covent Garden from 1860s. Closed 1953
