Traced origins to Absalom Harris who in 1860 leased the Charles Hill Pottery at Elstead, Farnham, and made utility wares such as drainpipes and tiles. 1866 relocatedto Holt Pottery and then in 1873 to Wrecclesham. Developed rapidly, especially from 1890s with production of distinctive 'Green-wares', influenced by Arts & Crafts Movement, and art pottery. From 1890s developed links with Farnham School of Art. Sold to retailers such as Liberty's and Heals. Continued until late 1990s when buildings were acquired by Farnham Buildings Preservation Trust
