In that year absorbed Central Association of Accountants. 1939 merged with Corporation of Accountants in Scotland to form Association of Certified & Corporate Accountants. 1941 absorbed Institution of Certified Public Accountants. 1971 renamed Association of Certified Accountants. By 1996 known as Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
