Established in c1672 by John Dwight, d1703, who was born in about 1630s, an innovative potter with a legal and technical background, who acquired a patent for manufacture of chinaware in 1672. More importantly, also made salt glazed stonewares, portrait busts and statuettes. Operated with much success. Business continued by his widow and then perhaps by a son. Mid 19th century sold to C I C Bailey who sold on to the Cheavin family in 1889. They focused on commercial stoneware such as drainpipes and water filters, later decorative pottery. Latterly known as Fulham Pottery & Cheavin Filter Co Ltd
