Traced origins to Hagerup, Doughty & Co who in the 1890s developed important trawler fishing interests at Grimsby. By 1897 had established an ice making factory. Prominent in their affairs was (Sir) George Doughty MP, 1854-1914, who in 1880s developed fishing interests via North Eastern Steam Fishing Co Ltd and International Steam Trawling Co Ltd. In 1897 business known as Hagerup & Doughty Ice Factory & Cold Storage Co Ltd. 1899 established Monarch Steam Trawling Co Ltd. In 1906 these businesses were reorganised as Consolidated Steam Fishing & Ice Co Ltd, a leading trawler fishing business. Developed important trawler businesses at Swansea and Lowestoft. 1927 renamed Consolidated Fisheries Ltd. Closed 1982
