Known to have been in existence in 1846, having been established by Joseph Cash and his sons, John and James, when working as ribbon manufacturers. In 1860 began making narrow frillings and later cloth labels, name-tapes and badges. From 1906 established factories overseas. Expanded by acquisition of other Coventry silk businesses after 1945 and in 1976 acquired from Cash family by Jones Stroud Group. Continues as badge and label makers
