Notes:

Traces origins to 1850s when established by Samuel Alexander through acquisition of a Leominster ironmonger's business. Soon expanded into selling and making agricultural implements. From 1870 known as Alexanders & Loveridge and from 1886 as Alexander & Duncan. Incorporated 1908. 1880s established a business supplying and erecting barns, bridges, village halls, etc, based on metal structures. Developed iron and brass foundry which closed 1920s. By 1960s focused on barns, etc; ironmongery sales; sale and repair of agricultural machinery. 1978 sold to Beth Johnson Foundation and subsequently bought by management. Continues as agricultural machinery dealers and servicers
