Thomas S 'Tommy' Roberts, 1942-2012, in the 1960s and 70s opened a succession of shops in fashionable parts of London selling ecclectic clothing, art work, furniture, etc. These included Kleptomania, near Carnaby Street, established 1966, and Mr Freedom in King's Road. These generally had short lives but influenced design and taste and products were worn by influential media stars. Emerged as a designer from 1980s when his businesses included Tom Tom of Soho.
