Traced origins to 1913 when established at Tongham, Surrey, by C S Burney, E A Burney and Harold Blackburne (sic) to make motorcycles and their engines, the latter also being supplied to other manufacturers. After 1918 relocated to Atlas Works, Bookham. 1922 discontinued motorcycle production but continued as a leading manufacturer of engines which were also supplied to motor car makers and, from 1922, to aircraft builders. Closed 1937
