Converted to a public company in 1980s through acquisition of publicly quoted Trafford Carpets (Holdings) Ltd which was then renamed MCD Group Plc. Subsequently absorbed by John Crowther Group Plc which was subsequently acquired by Coloroll Group. Bought out by management 1989
