Notes:

Traced origins to 1835 when established in Leeds by Thomas Green as wire drawers and wire workers. 1850 relocated to Smithfield Works, Leeds. By 1855 making lawnmowers and by 1885 making tram steam locomotives. Later made general steam locomotives and steam road vehicles, most notably steam rollers. 1881 opened additional Surrey Works, Blackfriars, London. Incorporated 1879. 1951 acquired by Blackburn Aircraft Ltd and later part of Hawker Siddeley. Closed 1975
