Wartime plant built in 1938-39 by Air Ministry to produce hydrogen and oxygen, later also nitrogen. The latter used for barrage balloons. In war years at least managed by British Oxygen Co Ltd and administered from RAF Kinloss. Also known as Tarmore Factory. Closed 1955 and sold by Air Ministry in 1957
