Notes:

Traces origins to William Peplow, 1794-1885, who set up in business at Wellington in c1820. His son, also William, was in business at Worcester from c1855 and moved to Stourbridge in 1862. On his death he was succeeded by his son. Opened first branch at Halesowen in 1922. Incorporated 1941. 1950 acquired a Worcester business and in 1951 another at Kidderminster. Continues in 2013
