Established c1814 as silversmiths as Ash & Sons, St James's Street. Soon developed a dental products manufacturing and supply business. An early specialisation was false teeth made from a variety of products - ceramic, rubber, etc. Developed a substantial 'teeth and rubber' factory at Kentish Town and also sometime had a Liverpool plant. From mid 19th century had branch offices at Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh as well as several in France. Supply business came to include a very wide range of products such as dental chairs, forceps, tools, etc
