Notes:
Long established Essex farming and milling family. Milling business at Bloomfield inherited by William and Henry Marriage on the death of their father, William, in 1824. Adopted steam power in 1836 and by 1856 operated mills at Broomfield, Moulsham, Bishops Hall and Croxton, Essex. By 1891 had roller mill at Moulsham and in 1900 built a major roller mill, Chelmer Mills, at Chelmsford. 1960 farming interests hived off into a separate business. Continues in 2012 in family ownership
