Traced origins to 1882 when D M Sutherland stated to make 'millboards' as part of a panelling system he had developed. 1898 hived off millboard (which were now renamed panel boards) production into Patent Impermeable Millboard Co Ltd which was incorporated for the purpose. Boards used extensively for railway carriage, motor vehicle, etc, production. Sundella became a trade name. 1941 renamed PIM Board Co Ltd. For long based at Sunbury on Thames. Later known as Sundella Ltd. Developed as leading makers of pin boards for educational and healthcare sectors. In administration 1990s when acquired by Celotex Ltd. Subsequently demerged. Continues
